Privacy by architecture
We record work, not people
Screen recordings are deleted during processing by default. Managers can opt to retain video evidence for up to three months. ScreenJournal does not log keystrokes.
By default, the video never lands
By default raw screen video is deleted immediately during processing, so there is no footage archive to leak, subpoena or browse. A manager who opts in to video evidence holds only that team's recordings, for up to 3 months.
Keystrokes are never recorded
ScreenJournal does not log keystrokes in any mode. AI analyses screen recordings, not what is typed on the keyboard.
Personal life stays personal
It is scoped to work apps and work-related activity; personal activity is skipped in real time, not captured and filtered later.
Redacted means erased
Redact an entry and it is erased entirely: it never appears in anyone's search. The chronicle itself keeps only the most recent 12 months of derived work history.
